Starks led five Spartans in double figures for the game. Soph wing Javon Jones came off the bench to record his third straight double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while classmates Kyle Ward and Ross King contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively. King, a 6-foot-7 center, played a strong game in the middle with 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Senior guard Chris Mays also added 11 points.
The win is the fourth straight for the streaking Spartans, and keeps them in first place in the NEAC standings at 3-0. Tuesday they travel to arch-rival Medaille for a battle for first place with the Maverics.
