The most prolific of the Loggers was again senior guard Matt Glynn. Glynn had an impressive outing, collecting a game high 33 points on 7 of 14 shooting while going 16 of 16 from the line. Glynn's fellow senior Mario Mendoza returned from an ankle injury that had sidelined the guard for a week to play his best game of the season. Mendoza recorded a double double, scoring all 11 of his points in the second half, while grabbing team high 11 rebounds, seven of which were offensive.
Pacific Lutheran (4-12, 1-6) took a 54-51 advantage into the locker room at the half and pushed their lead to a maximum of 8 before the Loggers responded. Chase Curtiss got the Loggers going with a three as the crowd urged on the comeback. As he as done all season, freshmen guard Curtis Medved hit a big three pointer to tie the game at 75 with 13:17 on the clock. Pacific Lutheran would get the lead back to 4, but a parade of Logger free throw shooters would put the game away.
Lute guard Jason Pasquariello was superb from the field, making 11 of 14 shots on his way to team high 25 points. Nearly as impressive was backcourt mate Sudon DeSuze. DeSuze was 10 of 12 from the field for 22 points, collected 6 rebounds, and handed out 4 assists in the losing effort.
Puget Sound hosts the Wildcats of Linfield College tomorrow at 8:00pm in Memorial Fieldhouse.
