Plattsburgh State 67, Fredonia State 50Plattsburgh, NY — A 10-2 run to start the second half was the key to a 67-50 SUNYAC conference victory for the Plattsburgh State men’s basketball team over Fredonia State on Friday night at Memorial Hall in Plattsburgh.
Curtis Smith scored four points during the run and finished with a team-high 15 points for the Cardinals (7-8, 3-5). Smith also added six steals and four assists. Johnnie Carter chipped in 15 points and grabbed a team-leading 11 rebounds. Calvin Fraser and Cameron Arterberry each had 10 points for Plattsburgh. The Cards forced 24 turnovers including 15 in the second half. The Cardinals continue SUNYAC play with a 4 p.m. game on Saturday, vs. Buffalo State.
