CORTLAND, N.Y. — Sophomore Dani Maye scored 17 points, 13 in the second half, as Cortland pulled away for a 53-39 win over visiting Brockport. Maye also finished with nine rebounds and three assists for the Red Dragons (13-3, 7-1 SUNYAC).

Sophomore Kaylin VanDusen added 13 points and three assists and senior Michelle Ciquera registered 10 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Kristen Egan matched her career high with seven assists and also recorded four steals.

Brockport (3-12, 2-5 SUNYAC) was led by Mary Ahrens' eight points and eight rebounds. Kim Schlegel added eight points and five rebounds off the bench and Meghan Squires had six points and seven rebounds.

Brockport led 12-4 eight minutes into the game as Cortland made only one of its first 12 field goal attempts. The Red Dragons were behind 18-13 with 5:03 left in the half before finishing the period on an 8-0 run to take a 21-18 lead.

Cortland also scored the first seven points of the second half to increase its lead to 28-18 with 17:34 remaining. Brockport closed to within 30-24 on a Squires three-point play with 14:38 left but got no closer.
