With the win, the Polar Bears improve to 13-5 overall, 7-4 in the OAC, while the Quakers fall to 1-17 overall, 1-10 in the OAC.
The game remained scoreless until 16:39 when David Guy nailed a three-pointer for WC.
For most of the first half, the teams were nip and tuck, with Northern taking the largest lead for either team, 26-18, after Billy Barkimer found Conrad, who nailed a three with 3:53 to go in the half.
After Wilmington cut the lead to 31-27 at 17:59, Northern got rolling, taking a 40-29 lead with 14:03 to go in the game on a jumper from Phil Hoying.
ONU was unable to hold the double-digit lead, however, as the Quakers stormed back, with the strong inside play of Deon Short, who cut the lead to 58-55 with 1:18 remaining.
Conrad was able to ice the game for Northern with four free throws, after Short missed a lay-up that would have cut the lead to one with just 23 seconds remaining in the game.
Wilmington hit 50 percent of their first half field goals, followed by 46 percent in the second half for 22-46 for the game, 48 percent, including 7-14 from beyond the arc.
Northern followed up an abysmal 37 percent in the first half with a strong second half number of 52 percent for 23-52 and 44 percent for the game.
Besides Conrad’s game high 24 points, Northern was led by Chad Bostelman with nine points, and Sam Mikolajewski with eight.
Short led the Quakers wth 22 points, while David Guy added 20, including 4-5 from beyond the arc.
Ohio Northern returns to actioin on Saturday, as they travel to Mount Union for a 3 pm game.
