NEWTON, Ma. — Elms College senior forward Tina Fontaine (Granby, MA) tallied a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds, but Mount Ida College built an eight-point halftime lead and carried it to a 49-36 win over the Blazers in Wednesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball game at Newton.

Fontaine’s 19-point, 11-rebound effort was her team-leading sixth double-double of the year for the Blazers, who fell to 2-13 overall, 2-7 NAC.
