Katie Kelsey scored 14 of her 18 points in the decisive second half to lead Augsburg (4-13, 4-10 MIAC) past Macalester 71-63 Wednesday night in St. Paul. The Auggies trailed 28-26 at the intermission but shot 60% in the second half (15-for-25), including 5-for-6 from three-point range. They also went 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the period.
Selina Theisen had 17 points, 12 rebounds and six assists for the Auggies, while Ashley Vossen added 14 points.
Afton Hanson had 26 points and six assists to lead Macalester (0-17, 0-14 MIAC). Sara Entgelmeier added 12 points and seven rebounds while Sarah Jacoby scored 10 points. Alice Hacker distributed six assists.
On Saturday (Jan. 31) the Scots play host to Concordia while Augsburg is home against St. Benedict.
