Framingham State led throughout the first half but Fitchburg State was able to battle back and tie the score at 39-39 with 14 minutes left in the game. Behind 20 points from junior guard Jim Prignano, Fitchburg State was able to take a 6 point lead over the Rams at 46-40 with 10 minutes left to play. The Rams pulled within 1 on a jumper by junior forward Shane Little with 1:27 left to play. Fitchburg State turned the ball over on their next possession and Framingham State junior Chris Feeney hit a 3-pointer to give the Rams the 61-59 lead and the win. Feeney finished the night with 23 points and junior Jared Clark chipped in a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Tanglis added 13 points for the Rams.
The Rams next game is Thursday night at home against Westfield State at 7:30, while Fitchburg takes on Mass. College at home Thursday night at 7:30.
