Maryville jumped out to an early lead and held onto it for the entire game. The Gorlocks came close to jumping ahead, but they never got the momentum they needed to surpass the Saints.
Sophomore Matt Regan was 4-10 (.400) from the field, 1-2 (.500) from behind the arc and 9-10 (.900) from the charity stripe for a team-high 18 points. He also added five assists, two rebounds and one steal in the effort.
Also scoring in double figures for the Saints was sophomore Stephen Bash with 11 points, and junior Matt Damrell and sophomore Ben Hebl with 10 points a piece. Bash added a team-high seven rebounds, while Hebl had five steals and three assists.
Brady Barke scored a game-high 24 points for Webster, while Kaniela Aiona added 17 points, four boards, three steals, two assists and one block.
Maryville outrebounded the Gorlocks 34-25 and shot .850 (17-20) percent from the free throw line, compared to Websters .692 (9-13) percent from the stripe.
The Saints return to action on Wednesday, January 28, when they host SLIAC foe Greenville College in a 7:00 p.m. matchup at the Simon Athletic Center.
