Jenkins led all scorers with a 24-point effort against the Daniel Webster Eagles. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Senior center Neil Simard scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Daniel Webster was led by forward Carmine Prestipino?s 15 point effort. The Eagles? Mike Maggiacomo was also in double figures, with 12 points in 37 minutes.
Suffolk took control early in the game, forcing the Eagles to shoot just 33 percent from the field in the first half. Jenkins scored 14 of his 24 points in the first half on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
The Rams? Chris Emma hit two three-pointers in the second half on his way to a 17-point game. Senior guard Chris Fritch paced the Rams? defense with four of the team's 14 steals.
Suffolk University improves to 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference while Daniel Webster College falls to 3-10 on the season. Suffolk takes the court again Tuesday, Jan. 27 when it hosts Emmanuel College at Regan Gymnasium.
