Muhlenberg 95, Washington College 77

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Host Muhlenberg College outscored visiting Washington College, 47-33, in the second half en route to a 95-77 Centennial Conference men's basketball win this afternoon at Memorial Hall in Allentown, PA. The Mules shot 57% from the floor in the win and 59% from beyond the three-point line.

Muhlenberg led by just four points at halftime, 48-44, but scored the first 13 points of the second half to open up a 61-44 lead on a lay-up by Jeff Stewart with 16:31 remaining in the game. The Mules led by at least nine points and by as many as 23 the rest of the contest.

Ryan Bonda led Muhlenberg with 19 points off the bench. Bonda was 7-of-15 from the field and canned five of his 11 three-point field goal attempts. Chase Licata added 17 points and game-highs of 11 rebounds and six assists, while Jimmy O'Brien tallied 16 points. Tom Scott added 15 points and five assists, while Stewart tallied 14 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Mules converted 13-of-22 attempts from long range.

Washington sophomore guard Kyle Stem led all scorers with 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor, four-of-six shooting from beyond the arc, and five-of-six shooting at the free throw line. He also grabbed six rebounds. Junior guard John "China" Alexander was the only other Shoreman to reach double figures in scoring, finishing with 11 points.
