The Eagles took their biggest lead of the second half with 7:37 left in the game when Clay Michael knocked down a jumper to put BC on top, 69-53.
Bridgewater maintained a double-digit lead and still led by 15 points, 83-68, when Jeff Schwalm threw down a dunk with 2:49 left.
The Royals put together a huge run in the final minute, trimming a 12-point deficit with 1:02 left down to five, 88-83, on Mike Culen’s 3-pointer with 27 seconds remaining. The Eagles held on in the final seconds to escape with the 92-85 victory.
Easterling followed up his 31-point effort in the victory over Roanoke with 28 against the Royals. The junior guard hit 6-of-10 shots from the floor and 16-of-20 from the foul line. Ryan Lambert posted his second straight double-double as he finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Andrew Lacey and Michael each chipped in with 13 points.
E.J. Arrington led the Royals with 26 points. Culen and Jason Sager scored 16 apiece and Jason Lentz contributed 12 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
The Eagles improved to 11-5 overall and 6-4 in the ODAC while EMU dropped to 4-12 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
