Senior Kevin Lauer led all scorers with 22 points and six rebounds. Junior Ben Hickethier added 13 points, while sophomore Jason Scheper recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Meguel McCleave and freshman Nathan Drury added 11 points each.
Carroll reached the century mark for the second consecutive game.
“Kevin Lauer really got the game going early shooting threes. We played steady and efficiently on both ends of the floor,” said head coach David Schultz.
Lauer shot 6-of-7 from three-point range in the first half and 6-of-8 for the game.
The Pioneers shot 55.2% from the field while holding the Prairie Fire to 33.8% shooting.
“This win was a total team effort. We had 14 guys score and it was encouraging to come back with the same focus and enthusiasm as we did last night against Grinnell,” said Schultz.
The win improves Carroll to 11-6 overall, 7-2 in the Midwest Conference while Knox falls to 7-8 overall, 2-8 in league play.
The Pioneers return to action Friday at 5 p.m. when they travel to Illinois College.
