Curry junior Keenan Small (Dorchester, MA) led all scorers with 25 points, and added 8 rebounds and four assists. The Colonels were also helped out by strong performances from senior Nick Reiph (Norwalk, CT) and freshman Marcus Jones (Roxbury, MA). Reiph dropped 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting, while Jones tallied 14 points, going 4-for-6 from the field, and a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range.
Bridgewater State sophomore David Rukstalis (Norwood, MA) led the Bears with 22 points along with 4 rebounds. Junior Peter Santos (Fairhaven, MA) also played well, recording 16 points on 4-for-9 shooting from behind the 3-point arc.
Curry dominated the game, shooting a remarkable 56% from the field, 55% from behind the 3-point line, and 74% from the free throw line. Their defense also played well, holding Bridgewater to 35% shooting from the field.
Bridgewater hopes to revive their winning ways when they travel to Worcester State College on Tuesday for a MASCAC matchup at 8:00. Curry will return home to host New England College on Tuesday in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game, also an 8:00 start.
