Bridgewater, MA - Bears Fall To Colonels, 77-60 — The Bridgewater State Men’s Basketball team saw their six game winning streak end at the hands of the visiting Colonels of Curry College, 77-60, at the Adrian Tinsley Center.

Curry junior Keenan Small (Dorchester, MA) led all scorers with 25 points, and added 8 rebounds and four assists. The Colonels were also helped out by strong performances from senior Nick Reiph (Norwalk, CT) and freshman Marcus Jones (Roxbury, MA). Reiph dropped 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting, while Jones tallied 14 points, going 4-for-6 from the field, and a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range.

Bridgewater State sophomore David Rukstalis (Norwood, MA) led the Bears with 22 points along with 4 rebounds. Junior Peter Santos (Fairhaven, MA) also played well, recording 16 points on 4-for-9 shooting from behind the 3-point arc.

Curry dominated the game, shooting a remarkable 56% from the field, 55% from behind the 3-point line, and 74% from the free throw line. Their defense also played well, holding Bridgewater to 35% shooting from the field.

Bridgewater hopes to revive their winning ways when they travel to Worcester State College on Tuesday for a MASCAC matchup at 8:00. Curry will return home to host New England College on Tuesday in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game, also an 8:00 start.
