Lawrence 101, Monmouth 68APPLETON, Wis. — The Monmouth Fighting Scots knew they would have their hands full with a Lawrence University team ranked 13th in the nation, and the Vikings played as advertised, winning 101-68.
Thanks to a 27-1 run, LU raced out to a 55-23 halftime lead. For the game, the hosts put up a similar margin in the rebounding department, outboarding the Scots 50-27. Chris Braier grabbed 19 rebounds and was one of six LU players in double figures. Troy Bennett led Monmouth (4-9, 0-7) with 17 points and Travis Miller added 14.
