Trailing 59-52 with just under six minutes left, the Tigers exploded with a 16-0 run keyed by freshman Adam Henderson and sophomore Cedric Isom. Henderson scored eight points in the run, while Isom added a pair of jumpers to help ETBU build a 68-59 lead.
LeTourneau battled back to within three, 72-69, but would get no closer as Clay Fisher drilled a pair of free throws with eight seconds left to seal the win.
The Tigers, coming off a double-overtime win at Austin College Saturday, were clearly a bit winded. Isom, who scored a career-high 32 points in that win, finished with 15 Tuesday. The ASC East Preseason Player of the Year added five rebounds, four assists and four steals as well.
Isom was joined in double figures by Quinton Owens, who had 12 points, and Fisher, who finished with 10 and a team-high eight rebounds. Henderson, a freshman guard from Waco, finished with 10 points off the bench for the Tigers.
LeTourneau was led by a game-high 17 points from Reese Lantrip, who was 3-of-5 from 3-point range. Lantrip was joined in double figures by Julius McClaskey, with 13, and Richard Eisemann and Randy Aram, who had 12 apiece.
The 'Jackets stayed in the game by hitting 10-of-33 from beyond the arc.
