Pomona-Pitzer 95, Redlands 82
Claremont, CA — The Men's Basketball team won a much-anticipated rematch with the University of Redlands Bulldogs on Saturday with a 95-82 victory. Alex Lloyd led all scorers with 23 points and 15 rebounds, and Tyler Velten added 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Hens took advantage of a cold shooting night for the Bulldogs. Redlands was 18-72 from beyond the arc, taking just 15 shots from inside the three-point line. The Sagehens pushed the ball up court and their swarming defense led to a number of easy baskets, including a few spectacular dunks from Lloyd. On Wednesday, Pomona-Pitzer takes their 2-0 conference record into Stag territory for a 7:30 game.
