The Edgewood College (9-7, 4-0) men’s basketball team defeated Maranatha College (5-7, 0-3) 65-53 in a Lake Michigan Conference game in Madison. The win kept the Eagles in first place in the Lake Michigan Conference.
Edgewood led 38-21 at halftime. The Eagles were led by senior guards Randy Kolinske with 22 points and Luke Sadowski with 12. Sophomore guard Kyle Scott added 10 coming off the bench. The Eagle defense, which is ranked 20th in the NCAA, held Maranatha’s leading scorer Jacob Gomez, who had been averaging 17 to just 9 points. Jim Bonner led Maranatha with 14 points.

The Eagles will play Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee.
