Washington College 79, Dickinson 71

Carlisle, Pa. — Senior forward David Horvath scored 31 points and tied the school and conference record of eight three-pointers in a single game to lead visiting Washington College to a 79-71 victory over host Dickinson in Centennial Conference men's basketball action this evening in Carlisle, PA.

The Shoremen (5-8, 2-4 Centennial) took a 31-24 lead into the intermission after shooting 6-of-12 from beyond the three-point line in the first 20 minutes, thanks in large part to a five-of-eight effort from Horvath. Horvath was three-for-three from long range in the final 20 minutes.

Horvath shot 10-of-18 from the field and 8-of-11 from beyond the arc in the game en route to his 31 points. His eight three-pointers ties the school record he set just 11 days ago in a 91-89 overtime loss to Muhlenberg and marks the sixth time in conference history to one player has canned eight treys in one game. Sophomore guard Kyle Stem added 17 points in the win, while sophomore forward Jonathan Webb scored 12 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Dickinson's Matt Keys led the Red Devils (3-10, 2-4) in scoring with 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field. George Alafoginis added 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, while Brad Litchfield tallied 13 points.
