The win is the seventh straight for the Falcons, who led 32-31 at the half. The Falcons outscored UWEC, 41-25, in the second half.
Melzer was 12-22 from the field and 9-9 from the line in the game. He finished with five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Chris Becker scored 12 points going 5-7 from the field and 2-3 from behind the arc. Billy Halter finished with nine points going 3-5 from three-point range. He led the Falcons with six rebounds. Micah Helfrey led the Falcons with five assists - he scored six points and had four rebounds. The Falcons shot 28-51 (.549) from the field, including 8-14 (.571) from three-point range. Melzer was the only Falcon to go to the free throw line. UWRF outrebounded UWEC, 30-23. Casey Drake led UWEC with 21 points and six rebounds.
