Benedictine snapped the Spartans 18 game home win streak with a balanced attack in which four starters scored in double figures.
Benedictine took a 44-39 lead to halftime behind 57 percent shooting from the field. The Eagles shot 49 percent from the field for the game and out-rebounded Aurora 44-36.
Senior forward Bryan Uselding led Benedictine with 19 points and six rebounds before fouling out with :45 seconds to play in the contest.
Junior center Will Crawford scored 16 points and grabbed seven boards, sophomore guard Matt Harrison had 15 points, including game sealing free throws with :20 second to go. Harrison added five rebounds and three steals. Isaac Russ chipped in ten points and seven rebounds in the winning effort.
Aurora was led by junior guard Adam McCoy's 19 points, junior forward Terrell Watkins had 16 points and seven rebounds, while junior guard Drew Gronau added 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Benedictine improves its record to 20-7 and 9-3 in the NIIC , while Aurora falls to 19-8 and 10-2 in the NIIC. Benedictine awaits word in tomorrow night's NCAA Division III National Tournament selection show for its opponent in the tournament and Aurora hopes of a second consecutive tournament appearance hinge on a possible Pool C bid.
