The CCC North Division’s second-seeded Chargers (19-7) will travel to Beverly, Massachusetts to face Endicott (No. 1 North) in a rematch of last year’s final, which was won 73-65 by Colby-Sawyer on the road. The Nor’easters (No. 4 North), who reached the semifinals with a 75-74 overtime win at Curry College, concluded their season with an 8-19 record.
Trailing 3-2 in the early going, the Chargers went on a 22-2 run that began with 10 unanswered points. Colby-Sawyer stretched the lead to 26 at the break (46-20) and was up by as much as 43 (67-24) with 13 minutes remaining.
Andrew St. Clair (SO, Pittsfield, ME/Maine Central Institute) led the Chargers with 23 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals. St. Clair, who was 10-for-14 from the field, scored 19 of his points in the first half. Pat Kenny (FR, Wethersfield, CT/East Catholic HS) had 10 points, while Collin Bray (SO, Brookline, MA/New Hampton (NH) Prep) and Chris Condon (JR, Reading, MA/Reading Memorial HS) scored nine points apiece in the victory. Bray also dished out six assists.
UNE’s Mark Regis (SO, Monroe, NH/St. Johnsbury Academy) tallied 21 points and six 3-pointers off the bench and teammate Tom Button (FR, Lyndeborough, NH/Wilton-Lyndeborough HS) recorded nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
