Benedictine took a 36-21 lead into halftime behind 50 percent shooting from the field. The Eagles maintained the lead in the second half to walk away with the victory. For the game, the Eagles out-rebounded their opponents 37-27 and forced 17 turnovers.
Junior Will Crawford scored a game high 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field. Crawford also grabbed a team leading nine rebounds in 29 minutes of action.
Senior Bryan Uselding poured in 11 points and pulled down six boards. Uselding added five assists and one steal for a balanced effort.
Sophomore Matt Harrison and senior Isaac Russ scored 10 points apiece. Harrison added two assists and a steal, while Russ contributed two assists and four steals.
Junior Zach Ramey chipped in eights points and added five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Craig Negangard led Eureka with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field.
The win improves the Eagles overall record to 19-7 and 9-3 in the NIIC. Benedictine is set to face NIIC regular season champion Aurora University in the championship game on Saturday, February 28 in a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at Aurora.
