Farmingdale, NY — As the #2 seed in the Skyline Conference Playoffs, Farmingdale State (19-5) was able to come out with a victory tonight over #7 St. Joseph’s College (14-12) 80-42. With a commanding lead at halftime 42-22, the Rams were able to hold St. Joseph’s to 20 points in the second half. Farmingdale was led by senior Karen King (New York, NY/Env. Studies) with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 steals and sophomore Angela Williams (New York, NY/M. Bergtraum) with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Melanie Caesar (Brooklyn, NY/M. Bergtraum) chipped in 10 points, 2 blocks and 7 boards for the Rams, while Sharon Billips (Brooklyn, NY/John Jay) finished with 11 points and 6 boards. Shanell Reliford (Brooklyn, NY/Sheepshead Bay) and Danielle Houpe (Bellport, NY/Bellport) both scored 9 points each.

The Golden Eagles were led by Abigail Konicke (W. Babylon, NY/W. Babylon) with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Kristen Mando (W. Babylon, NY/W. Babylon) finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds.
