Storm Lake, IA — Buena Vista last played the Norse just last Friday in Decorah and came away with a 71-50 victory. In their first meeting this season, Buena Vista won in Siebens Fieldhouse by a score of 75-51. Tonight the Beavers made a clean sweep of the Norse and came away with a 74-48 victory.

Scott Weber led the Beavers in scoring in all three of the contests and finished tonight’s win with 25 points in 29 minutes of action. He led the conference in scoring this season with an 18.9 points per game average. Wiebers finished with 13 points while Michael Cameron and Randy Bissen both finished nine points. Bissen led BVU with nine rebounds as the Beavers out rebounded the Norse by 14 rebounds.

Brandon Grimm was the lone Norse to get into double digit scoring. Luther struggled from the field and connected on 17 of 47 attempts for 36.2%.

Weber also ranked third in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds a contest. Randy Bissen led the conference in shooting percentage at 65.0% from the field. Michael Cameron ranked fourth in the conference stats by connecting on 84.4% from the free throw line. Eric Wiebers was the leader from the three point line averaging 2.81 three pointers a game and sank 45 in conference play. Casey Pelzer dominated the assist to turnover ratio (3.04) and ranked near the top in assists and steals in conference play.

BV advanced into the semi-finals and will face Coe College on Friday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m.
