Leading 50-43 with 12:44 to play, the Power Gulls reeled off nine unanswered points in a span of less than two minutes to take command. Junior Carlos Nunez (Haverhill, Mass.) hit a pair of free throws to cap the run and give Endicott a 59-43 lead at the 11:35 mark.
Senior Jeremy Currier (Hampstead, N.H.) poured in a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, for Endicott. Freshman Nemanja Marinkovic (Houston, Texas) scored 17, George 16, and senior Chris Lacasse (Rochester, N.H.) 12.
The Power Gulls (20-4, 14-2) shot 65.4 percent (14-for-26) from the floor in the second half and had assists on 24 of their 30 field goals for the game.
Sophomore Matt McManus (Cumberland, R.I.) nailed six treys and finished with 20 points to fuel the UNE offense. Classmate Mark Oliver (Gloucester, Mass.) tallied 13 points, while senior Brandon Berthiaume (Springfield, Mass.) and junior Mike Hardy (Hancock, Maine) added 11 points apiece.
The Nor'easters (7-18, 5-11) will begin play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament on Tuesday when they travel to either Curry College or Roger Williams University.
