Alma 81, Kalamazoo 71KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The women's basketball team fell 81-71 to Alma College on Saturday. Kalamazoo led 37-34 at halftime.
Alma shot 55.8 percent from the field while Kalamazoo shot 46.4 percent. Alma held a 34-31 rebounding advantage. Mary Brown led Kalamazoo with 22 points and eight rebounds. Angie Neu and Ashley Riley each scored 13 points, and Lindsay Basler finished with 11. Michelle Dettling led Alma with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds. Katey Peacock scored 22 points with six rebounds and five assists. Karen Hall scored 18 points with nine rebounds for the Scots (14-10, 7-7 MIAA).
