COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five Capital University seniors ended their careers on a high note as the men’s basketball team closed out its regular season Saturday afternoon by defeating Ohio Northern University 79-73 at the Capital Center. OAC Ohio Northern Polar Bears

Ohio Northern took the lead, 15-14, on a 3-pointer by Jim Conrad with just under 13 minutes remaining in the first half. Junior Jake Beck drained a jumper the next time down the floor reclaiming the lead for Capital they would never relinquish.
Beck had 15 points in the first half, and finished with a season-high 24 as the Crusaders improved to 17-8, 11-7 in OAC play. Senior Adam Stolly chipped in with 19. Fellow seniors Mark Denner had 10 points and six rebounds to go along with Chuck Bihn’s 12 points and game-high 10 rebounds.
The loss drops the Polar Bears to 18-7, 12-6 OAC. Conrad led all ONU scorers with 20 points.
