The Lions, who entered the night tied for first place in the Commonwealth, improved to 15-8 overall and 9-4 in conference action, while the Greyhounds dropped their third straight contest to fall to 10-14 overall and 2-11 in the Commonwealth.
Moravian, which trailed by just one point at the half, 35-34, couldn't overcome the Lions hot shooting in the second half. Albright made 18 of 29 field goals (62.1 percent) and eight of 16 free throws after the intermission while Moravian connected on 16 of 32 field goals (50 percent) and both of its free throw attempts.
The biggest advantage the Lions had in the game was from the foul line where Albright made 14 of 25 attempts while Moravian attempted just seven foul shots, making six of them. Albright finished the game connecting on 32 of 57 field goal attempts (56.1 percent) and two of six on three-pointers. The Lions also had a 39-34 advantage on the boards. Moravian made 30 of 70 field goal attempts (42.9 percent) while shooting six of 24 behind the three-point line.
Joining Deeter in double figures for the Lions were junior guard Elu Lawrence with 16 points and freshman forward Mile Boles with 14 points. Lawrence, who was six for ten from the floor, added six rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots while Boles made six of 12 field goals and had five steals.
Junior forward Ben Gallagher, senior guard Terron Buchanon and freshman forward Shane Harvey each tossed in six points for Albright with Harvey adding six rebounds and Gallagher grabbing four boards. Freshman guard Matt Kieslowsky had six rebounds, five points and four assists while freshman guard Garrett Etzel tossed in five points.
Moravian had 60 of 72 points from three players led by junior forward Brandon Zaleski, who scored a game high 28 points. Zaleski also added nine rebounds and shot 12 of 21 from the floor and four of five at the foul line. Senior guard Steve Weiler tossed in 19 points with four rebounds and three assists while senior guard Kevin Wyers contributed 13 points, five boards and three assists.
Sophomore forward Ed Reid added six points and four rebounds while sophomore forward Zach Zsilavecz had four points, four rebounds and four assists. Senior guard Lucas Malishchak added four assists in the game.
