The Bulldogs (20-3, 10-2 Freedom) won its sixth straight game overall and its 18th straight in Billera Hall extending its school-record home winning streak, while Delaware Valley drops to 4-19 overall and 3-10 in the Freedom Conference. DSU shot 55.6 percent from the field and 16-of-31 (51.6%) from three-point land in the win.
The 16 made three-pointers breaks the school-record for made treys in a game. DeSales also reached the century mark for the first time since the 2001-02 season and wins 20+ games for the second consecutive season and the third overall in the history of the program.
Senior Jim Zinn scored a game-high 19 points and also grabbed a career-high nine rebounds to lead the attack. Zinn stands just six points shy of the 1,000-career point mark. Senior Jeff Clifford also reached double figures with 14 points on a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Freshman Sedale Walton added a season-high 10 points and junior David Spadt totaled nine points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds off the bench.
Four players did reach double digits for the Aggies including Mike Thornton with a team-high 16 points. Erik Tegethoff added 13 tallies, Javon Alston also totaled 13 points, and Sean Smith recorded 12 markers in the loss.
