Sophomore Scott Stone added 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range, while freshman Brandon York posted a career-high 14 points. Junior Anthony Hollins added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore Mike Grunst had eight points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in the win.
The Bears continued their hot shooting from the outside, connecting on 5-of-10 three-point shots in the opening half. The Bears led 14-13 midway through the opening half before they hit three from long distance over the next five minutes, giving the Bears a 25-17 lead with 6:13 remaining. Stone, Grunst and sophomore Josh Henry each hit a three during Washington U.'s 11-4 run.
Bryant led the Bears with 13 first-half points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Hollins added six points and six rebounds. WU held Emory to .273 (9-of-33) shooting in the first half and outrebounded the Eagles 27-21.
Stone connected on his fifth three-pointer of the game to help Washington U. put the game out of reach with a 14-3 run for a 63-38 lead with 9:15 remaining in the game.
Washington U. shot .500 (10-20) from three-point range in the game and held the Eagles to .324 (24-of-74) shooting from the field. The Bears also outrebounded Emory (9-12, 4-8 UAA) 52-42.
Washington University (17-5, 9-2 UAA) returns to action on Fri., Feb. 20 against Brandeis University. Game time is set for 8 p.m. at the WU Field House.
