The Flying Dutch are 12-1 in league play, half-a-game ahead of Calvin (11-1). The Calvin Knights travel to Albion (9-3) on Tuesday. Hope doesn't play again until next Saturday and will play travel to Albion.
The Flying Dutch led 48-33 at halftime, but Tri-State scored the first 11 points of the second half and came within three points 50-47 at 16:21 before the Dutch regained their offensive composure and steadily rebuilt their advantage to as many as 26 points.
Five Hope players scored in double figures led by sophomore guard Bria Ebels with 24, including 17 in the second half.
Junior forward Adelynn Vilmann followed with 19 points while senior Lauren Jensen recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Taylor and Sarah Jurik each tallied 10 points.
The Flying Dutch shot 61% (40/66), taking advantage of their ability to break Tri-State's press with 20 fast-break points.
