Coach Brian Morehouse's Flying Dutch maintained their lead in the MIAA race improving to 12-1 and 21-2 overall.
The upset-minded Alma Scots shot a sizzling 72% in the first half leading by as many as 10 points. The Flying Dutch were able to trim the Alma lead to 41-38 at intermission.
After being held scoreless in the first half, Hope sophomore guard Bria Ebels bagged three three-pointers in the first five minutes of the second half to give Hope a 47-45 lead. Trailing 57-56 with 12:16 left, the Flying Dutch went on a seven-point run, highlighted again by a three-pointer by Bria Ebels. Hope never looked back.
Five Hope players ended in double figures led by senior Lauren Jensen who had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bria Ebels and Gracia Kamps each scored 14 points while Megan Noll and Adelynn Vilmann each had 11.
Alma got 50 of its 67 points from two players. Katey Peacock finished with 26 points while Karen Hall added 24 behind 11-for-12 shooting.
