The Eagles shot 53 percent from the field and out-rebounded their opponents 31-27. The two teams combined for 30 turnovers in what was a close match-up from beginning to end.
Junior guard Zach Ramey poured in a season high 20 points to lead the team in scoring on 4-of-8 shooting from behind the arc. Ramey also dished out a team leading four assists and recorded two rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes of action.
Senior Bryan Uselding recorded his third double double of the season with 15 points and 11 boards. Uselding also dished out a three assists and recorded a season high four blocked shots.
Junior Will Crawford and senior Brett Dankowski scored 10 points apiece with Crawford adding four rebounds and Dankowski handing out two assists.
Senior Isaac Russ and sophomore Matt Harrison scored nine points apiece, with Harrison adding six boards.
The Red Devils' Craig Negangard led all scorers with 28 points on 10-of 16 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from the arc.
The loss drops the Eagles overall record to 15-6 and their NIIC record to 7-2. The Eagles will continue NIIC play on Saturday, February 14 when they travel to Rockford College for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
