A flat shooting night for Central and a hot shooting night for Simpson equals an 88-31 Dutch loss. The Storm went on a 16-0 run starting four minutes into the game and went until Central’s Matt Keefer hit a jumper with 7:14 left in the first half. Simpson held Central to just 16 first half points.

The Dutch connected on 23.4 percent of their field goals (11-47) while Simpson converted 33 of 60 shots (55.0). The Storm out rebounded the Dutch 44-21. Central also committed 21 turnovers in the loss.

Simpson’s Jason Snyder had a game-high 16 points. Nick Boyd tallied 14 points while Scott Ellens and Ryan Hittenmiller each added 11. Simpson moves its record to 12-9 overall and 8-4 in the Iowa Conference.

Keefer led the Dutch with seven points. Chris Nelson and Brandon Vos each had six points with Nelson hitting two three-pointers in less than a minute.

The Dutch fall to 4-17, 3-9 in the Iowa Conference.
