Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (February 7, 2004) – Junior guard Jack Rowbottom (Norridgewock, Maine) scored 15 points off the bench to lead St. Lawrence University to a 79-61 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association men's basketball victory over Vassar College Saturday afternoon at the Athletic and Fitness Center.
St. Lawrence (13-6, 4-5 UCAA) got 40 points from its bench. The Saints shot 50% from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-8 from three-point territory as they walked away with a 40-34 lead at the break. The Saints opened up a 15-3 run to begin the second half to take a commanding 55-37 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the game.
Sophomore center Kyle Dickmann (Union, Ky.) had career-highs in points (15) and rebounds (10) off the bench to lead Vassar (3-16, 0-9 UCAA). Junior forward Matt Williams (Sanford, Fla.) added 15 points, while junior guard Jud Winton (San Francisco, Calif.) tacked on ten points and four assists for the Brewers.
The Saints got 13 points and six rebounds from junior forward Aaron Marshall (Buffalo, N.Y.). Senior guard Ahmad Toussaint (Teaneck, N.J.) chipped in 11 points and four assists, while junior guard Jimmy White (Santa Monica, Calif.) and sophomore guard Pat Delmonico (Skaneateles, N.Y.) added ten points apiece.
