McMurry drained six 3-pointers in the first half, setting the tone for a 94-70 triumph against visiting Schreiner in American Southwest Conference West Division action Saturday afternoon at Kimbrell Arena.
The Indians, who are 8-0 this season when they reach the 90-point plateau, won their fourth straight overall and improved to 13-8 and 6-4 in the ASC West.
McMurry came into the game ranked last in the conference in 3-pointers made per game, but shot 67 percent beyond the arc on their six treys to take a 45-28 halftime lead. Michael Qualls led the Tribe with 17 points, including four 3-pointers.
Jarel Hall led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds for the Mountaineers, who fell to 8-13 and 1-9. Jarrell Williams contributed a game-best 11 rebounds and scored six points.
J.R. Williams and Kelon Lewis also scored in double figures for the Indians with 15 and 12 points, respectively.
