The Mary Washington College men's basketball team gained a bit of revenge on Saturday, downing St. Mary's College, the only team to blemish their CAC record, with a 64-48 win at Goolrick Gymnasium. The win is the Eagles' seventh straight, and tenth in their last eleven games.
MWC led, 25-16, at halftime, and outscored the Seahawks, 39-32, in the second half. Freshman Mike Lee, making his first career start, led the Eagles with 16 points, while Jon Hurd and Evan Fowler each scored 13, with Ian Sumers adding eleven. Kevin Moore grabbed eight rebounds for MWC, while Fowler dished out six assists.
The Eagles were also 18-19 from the free throw line in the game. MWC will visit Catholic University on Wednesday at 8 pm.
