Hope 92, St. Mary's (Ind.) 72

Holland, Mich. — The Flying Dutch stayed atop the MIAA standings by recording their milestone 20th victory of the season Saturday.

With five players scoring in double figures behind 62% shooting, the Flying Dutch topped visiting Saint Mary's 92-72 before a near capacity Dow Center crowd.

Coach Brian Morehouse's Dutch kept their half-game lead over rival in the MIAA standings. Hope stands 11-1 while Calvin is 10-1 heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.

The Flying Dutch improved to 20-2 on the season marking the sixth consecutive year that Hope has won 20-or-more victories.

Hope never trailed in the game jumping out to a 47-29 halftime lead behind 69% shooting.

Junior forward Adelynn Vilmann led the Hope scoring parade with 15 points behind 7-for-8 shooting. Sophomore center Linda Ebels followed with 14 points on 7-for-9 accuracy. Others in double figures were Bria Ebels 13, Ellen Wood 12 and Kelly Taylor 11.
