Elms College improved to 7-12 overall, 7-6 NAC, and Mount Ida fell to 8-10 overall, 4-8 NAC.
The Blazers used a 6-0 run in the first two minutes of the second half to open up its biggest lead of the game (46-36), highlighted by a Seyboth 3-pointer and three free throws by senior forward Ernest Hughes (Dorchester, MA).
The Blazers had four players reach double figures. In addition to Seyboth, Hughes added 19 points to go along with nine rebounds, senior forward DeShawn Hawkins (West Hartford, CT) chipped in with 12 points and freshman guard John Ancrum (Harlem, NY) had 11 points. Sophomore forward Lonnie Branyon III (West Haven, CT) also added nine rebounds.
Senior forward Josh Didick (Attleboro, MA) led Mount Ida with 21 points, while sophomore forward Scott Chamberlain (Millis, MA) and sophomore guard Matt McGaughran (Taunton, MA) both added 17 points in the loss.
The Blazers travel to Newbury College on Tuesday, February 10. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
