The Eagles shot a blistering 68 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break leading 45-29. Benedictine maintained its lead during the second half to walk away with the victory.
Junior center Will Crawford led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field. Crawford added seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes of action.
Senior guard Isaac Russ poured in a season high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from the arc. Russ added four steals and two rebounds.
Junior guard Zach Ramey scored 13 points and dished out four assists. Ramey added three rebounds and a steal in 26 minutes of action.
Sophomore guard Matt Harrison had a balanced game with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Senior Brett Dankowski dished out a team leading six assists
Eric Dunn paced the Stars with 15 points, five rebounds and two assists.
The victory improves the Eagles overall record to 15-5 and their NIIC record to 7-1. The Eagles will continue NIIC play on Wednesday, February 11 when they host Eureka College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
