The Bears led 28-19 midway through the first half. Bryant tallied 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting during that span. WU finished the half with a 46-40 lead, led by Stone's 15 points. The Bears' point guard hit five of his eight first-half shot attempts, including three from beyond the arc.
WU held a 10-point lead for the majority of the second half. The Tartans trimmed the lead to six at 86-80 with 2:52 remaining in the game, but they would get no closer.
Bryant, a senior, added four rebounds and six assists, while Stone, a sophomore, chipped in with five assists and four rebounds. Senior Ryan DeBoer posted 16 points and five steals. Juniors Anthony Hollins and Rob Keller also registered 10 points, as all five Bears starters scored in double figures.
Washington University (14-5, 6-2 UAA) returns to action Sun., Feb. 8 against top-ranked University of Rochester. Tip-off is set for noon at the WU Field House.
