After an EMU timeout Shantee Bryant (Verona, Va./Robert E. Lee) would drive down the court and quickly dish to Amanda Renalds (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby). Renalds would find a streaking Grandstaff who would hit the crucial trey to tie the game. Renalds would finish the game with 12 points while Bryant would add four points and four assists.

In overtime the Lady Royals would put the game out of reach as a lay-up by Regina Sours (Luray, Va./Mt.
