CHICAGO, Ill. — Seth Hauben scored eight of his team-high 18 points in the first six minutes of the second half as visiting Rochester posted 54-41 victory at the University of Chicago here tonight.

Hauben’s outburst enabled the Yellowjackets (8-0 University Athletic Association, 19-0 overall) to turn a 22-21 halftime deficit into a 32-25 lead.

The Yellowjacket defense held Chicago to one field goal and one free throw in the first 5:26 of the period. The Maroons (3-5 UAA, 7-12 overall), who shot 43% from the floor in the first half, made 29% in the second half (7 of 24).

In the first half, the Maroons led by five early, but a mid-period flurry by the Yellowjackets put Rochester ahead by six, 15-9, with just under 10 minutes left.

Chicago closed the first half with an 8-2 run over the last 3:38. Scott Fisher scored four of the eight points. His jumper with 11 seconds left gave Chicago a 22-21 lead at the break.
