McMurry (12-8, 5-4 ASC West) opened a 15-point lead at the half. Texas Lutheran never seriously threatened in the second half as the Indians led by as many as 25.
Texas Lutheran fell to 14-6 overall and to 6-3 in the ASC West.
The Bulldogs had won five in a row since losing second-leading scorer Will Hudson to a broken foot and had won two consecutive games since losing leading scorer and rebounder Tommy Stolhandske to a broken hand.
The injuries seemed to have finally caught up to the Bulldogs on Thursday. The team had only two players in double figures (Nik Summers and Jerrod Carpenter). Matt Nelson added eight points, but no other Bulldog had more than three.
Summers led Texas Lutheran with 19 points. Carpenter added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Kendrick Ellis paced McMurry with 14 points and seven rebounds. Juan Muniz added 10 points and five rebounds.
The Indians shot 53.3 percent from the floor and hit four of nine 3-pointers in the first half. For the game, McMurry hit 48.3 percent of its shots.
Texas Lutheran continues its road swing in Abilene with a Saturday afternoon game at Hardin-Simmons. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
