Penn State-Behrend 69, Pitt-Bradford 52

Erie, PA — ERIE — The Pitt-Bradford list of men’s 1,000-point career scorers is now a Sweet 16.
Matt Rowles registered his 1,000th point, but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers dropped a 69-52 Alleghney Mountain Collegiate Conference decision at Penn State Behrend on Wednesday.
Rowles, who is a 6-3 senior forward from Clearfield, placed himself in the No. 16 spot with a Jess Whelan-assisted lay-up with 8:08 left in the game.
“I’m glad for him (Rowles),” said Andy Moore, UPB head coach. “He’s had a nice career and has had a helluva senior year so far.”
