After Drew (9-7, 3-5 Freedom) hit the first bucket of the game, a trey by Lauren Aliano to take a 3-0 lead, DeSales (16-3, 6-2 Freedom) went on a 17-1 run to take a 13-point lead at the 11:01 mark of the first half and never looked back. The 19th ranked Bulldogs shot 44.4 percent in the first half and increased their lead to 21 points, 39-18, at the half. DSU forced 26 Rangers turnovers and held DU to just 29.4 percent shooting for the game.
Junior Alyssa Antolick, who did not play in the two teams earlier season match-up, scored a game-high 19 points including a 9-for-9 effort at the charity stripe to lead the way. Junior Jen Netwall tallied 11 points and senior Amy Yencho totaled 10 markers in the win.
Sarah Marquez and Melissa Kraft each scored 11 points to lead Drew in the loss.
