Elms 47, Bay Path 39SPRINGFIELD, Ma. — Elms College senior forward Tina Fontaine (Granby, MA) and sophomore guard Sarah Castro (Russell, MA) tallied 13 points apiece and the Blazers rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to earn a 47-39 win over host Bay Path College in Tuesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball game at Springfield.
With the win, the Blazers won their second straight game to improve to 4-13 overall, 4-7 NAC. The Blazers trailed 22-21 at intermission before Fontaine and Castro combined for 15 second half points. Elms College will try for its third straight victory when it travels to play at Newbury College on Thursday, February 5.
