DePauw 72, Anderson 42

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Sixth-ranked DePauw shot a season-best 54.9 percent from the field including 65 percent in the second half on the way to a 72-42 victory over Anderson in the final game of the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament. DePauw improved to 9-2 with the win, while the Ravens dropped to 0-11.

The Tigers scored 11 straight during a first-half stretch to break a 9-9 tie, but the Ravens trailed just 31-24 at the intermission. DePauw's lead was still just 42-34 after Anderson's Heather Terflinger scored with 14:04 remaining. Sarah Zondor's two free throws with 13:46 left started an 18-0 run over the next nine minutes that put the game away.

Zondor paced the Tigers with 16 points, while Amy Argetsinger added 10. Emily Bailey led Anderson with 14 and Terflinger added 10. Anderson held a 30-22 advantage on the boards with Terflinger and Bailey each grabbing six. Argetsinger and Bridget Bailey each had four for DePauw.

Kalei Lowes dished out a game-high six assists with Gretchen Haehl adding five. Suzy Doughty totaled four steals for the Tigers. Lauren Vail and Terflinger each finished with four assists.

The Tigers committed just 13 turnovers, while forcing the Ravens into 28.

Argetsinger was named to the all-tournament team as was Bailey. Brooke Warner of Thomas More was named the MVP with teammate Megan Wood and Earlham's Guin Summerton earning spots on the team.
