The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team defeated Beloit College 72-55 Monday evening in a game played in Beloit. The victory, Whitewater's fourth in a row, raised UW-W's mark overall to 8-3 while Beloit fell to 3-6.

Beloit was led by sophomore forward Nick Hendry, who scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half.
Beloit College scored the first basket of the game, but a three-pointer 24 seconds later gave Whitewater a lead it never relinquished. The Warhawks led 36-23 at the half, and built that lead to 64-38 at 8:14 on a basket by Josh King. The Buccaneers cut the margin to 14, 64-50 at 5:07 on a three-pointer by Matt Fieck, but the margin stayed between 15 and 20 points the rest of the way.
For Whitewater, the game marked the return of sophomore forward Tony Miggins, who has missed the last seven games because of an ankle injury, and the debut of Jason Price, a sophomore guard from Milwaukee Washington High School who transferred from Garden City Community College (KS).
UW-Whitewater leads the all-time series between the schools 10-6.
The Warhawks' next game will be at home, in Kachel Gym in Williams Center, Thursday, December 30 at 7:30 against Carroll College.
